Students and trainers took time out for our ‘Take Notice Walk’ this week. Enjoying some lovely sunshine, slowing down to enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Donnington Park.
At Recovery in Mind we use the principles of connecting with others who understand and appreciate us, getting active, taking notice mindfully of our surroundings, giving both to ourselves and others and learning.
Our walk up to Donnington castle and back, including some mindful grounding exercises and a picnic on the grass encompassed all these principles. Taking in the views and learning about different plants and flowers on the way.
It’s easy to forget just how simple it can be to take some time out to be ourselves in peaceful surroundings. But its something we can all do and the benefits are profound.
