Step 1: Welcome to Recovery Course
Welcome to Recovery
Thank you for your interest in our foundation ‘Welcome to Recovery’ course.
If you require further mental health support, then please contact your GP.
The aim of this course is to look at various aspects of our recovery and improving our mental health. We include sessions about Hope, Personal Responsibility, Supporters, Healthy Living and developing a Wellness Toolbox. Each week a topic is discussed, information is shared and then we reflect on how we can use these ideas to move forwards with our mental health. This course is also about learning skills, tools and mindsets to move forward and begin the journey of managing our own mental health.
This course will be held either at our training rooms in Broadway House (by the clocktower in Newbury) or at Shaw House, Newbury.
Recent student feedback...... 'inclusive, positive, life-changing, totally inspiring' May 2023. 'Relaxed, thought provoking, seeing how I was not alone, mentally uplifting' November 2023. 'Inspiring, challenges your way of thinking about life & your own recovery, uplifts you, motivates you towards a healthy lifestyle' November 2023. 'Friendly, approachable, relaxed environment, informative, non-judgemental. The professional and lived experience of the course leaders.' May 2024.
There will be five weekly sessions of 2.5 hours each.
We currently have no dates planned for this course.
Welcome to Recovery ON-LINE
Once a year, or when there is enough interest, we will run an on-line version of the course using MS Teams. This is aimed at students who are physically unable to get to our face-to-face courses. This may also be suitable for those with carer responsibilities, work or family commitments and who find this timing suits them better.
We currently have no dates planned for this course.
