Description
A day of creativity, new opportunities and connecting to nature and one another. We will spend the day in a beautiful woodland glade in the midst of West Berkshire near Woolhampton. We will start at 10.00am and enjoy a variety of activities such as Mindful Explore in the woods, painting and nature creations. After lunch (we ask all students to bring something for our ‘shared’ lunch) we will settle by the fire once more to enjoy a storytelling session followed by a very gentle Woodland Yoga session led by Jill who is the yoga teacher at Wasing estate. There will also be time to listen to the birds, sit by the fire or chat to new or old Recovery in Mind friends. The day is yours to relax and enjoy! We will finish at 3pm.
Travel: We ask for you to arrange transport direct to the site (a map will be sent to you nearer the time) or we can pick you up from Midgham Railway Station at 9:30am and take you by car to the woods.
What to bring: Waterproof coat or jacket, hat and suncream if it’s hot and SENSIBLE outdoor shoes or boots – no heels or sandals – the woods have nettles and uneven surfaces. AND A FOLDING CHAIR to sit on! Items for a ‘shared’ lunch.
Remember: We will be outdoors whatever the weather – there is some shelter but not ‘indoors’ – please bring clothing, shoes and hats suitable for the weather whatever it may bring!
