We are excited to invite you to a special event as part of West Berkshire’s ‘Poetry in Mind’ competition. Come and join us at the Lakeside room at Thatcham Discovery Centre on Wednesday 6th September at 10am-12.30pm for a one-off workshop in which we will explore different kinds of poetry together, what poetry means to us, and have a go at writing some poems of our own. Completed poems will then be put on public display in West Berks (they can remain anonymous if preferred).
There is no need to bring anything: we will supply all the materials, including refreshments (we’ll even have cake!!) No prior experience of either reading or writing poetry is necessary: just come with an open, curious mind, and we look forward to getting our creative juices flowing together in a fun and relaxed environment with a beautiful lakeside venue for added inspiration. This is a fantastic opportunity to kick off the autumn term together and we look forward to seeing you there!
