“I’m really happy to be joining as a Peer Trainer and am super excited to be working with such an amazing team. As a student, joining the Recovery In Mind ‘Tribe’ has and continues to be a huge and irreplaceable part of my own recovery. To have the opportunity to be part of other peoples journey is a privilege to which I’m looking forward.”
Greenfest 2022
Recovery in Mind attended the Greenfest community event on Saturday 10th September in the village of Hampstead Norreys. The event was focused on the environment and wellbeing. Both Lynette and Nick joined Cath, Fiona and myself. We ran some Breathing Workshops in our aptly called, ‘Zen Den’, encouraged children to plant some microgreens to take home and chat to people about our courses and the support we offer. It was a delight to meet so many people from West Berkshire and beyond. We already have a few people we met on the day attending courses. Welcome to you and thanks to the team for all their hard work on what turned out to be a long day.

Festive Student Walk
Recovery in Mind festive walk took place at Thatcham Discovery Centre just before Christmas. It was great to see so many students enjoy a short walk followed by coffee and mince pies. It was a lovely way to end the year and have time together to simply connect. Thanks for everyone who joined us and we wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a peaceful New year.

Peer Trainer Congratulations
Congratulations to our wonderful Peer Trainers, Lorraine and Lynette for winning the West Berkshire Adult Learning Achievement Award. We are super proud of your achievements and all you do to support and help our students to improve their mental health and wellbeing.
Enjoying the fruits of our labour
Our lovely allotment has done us proud over the past 6 months with fruit, veg and flowers galore. It’s been a picture! Such a lovely peaceful, outdoor space. We had fun with some students this week using the vegetables around us to make a soup….it couldn’t have been any fresher!
Early Autumn at the allotment
We started the new term down at the allotment. We cooked some of our home grown produce and very much hope that some of you will be coming down over the next few months before Winter returns. We are planning some sessions where we will cook some snacks using the fruit and vegetables that we have grown and nurtured over the last 8 months
Gorgeous, fresh, homegrown ingredients Angela in action Frittata! Back in late April……. ….the same spot 4 months later!
