Mindful Attention Session
Here is a 5 minute recorded ‘Mindful Attention Session’ from our Self Compassion workshop information. You can use this to focus your mind on the regularity of your breath and calm yourself by giving yourself time for self-compassionate thoughts. This technique is very helpful in applying to everyday life as you deal with challenges. Practice makes perfect, so having done the session a number of times using the recording, you should be able to apply the same methodology to future situations using your own words and without needing the recording.

Winter Connections
Our Winter Connections One Day Festival was a great success. We decorated the building with bunting and flowers. We began the day with our shared painting project which was amazing – take a look at our creation.
Later in the morning Toria led a Mindful Walk, Gillian shared some Winter Poetry, Fiona got busy with a team of soup chefs (students) and Cath spent some time with a few students playing board games.
Following our delicious lunch we all got stuck in with Paul and Jack who led a Samba music workshop for us. The rhythm of the music and the joy of creating something so different was a lovely way to end our day together.
Creativity for Christmas
Our Creativity for Christmas workshops were a real success. Both weeks we had one of our lovely students come to share their creative interests. Christine provided a lovely stitching of Christmas trees and Allie led a beading workshop making tree decorations. Other opportunities included paper craft Rudolphs & making a table decoration from bits of greenery you might find in your garden or the woods.
Thanks again to Christine and Allie.
